ROOMIES!!

Ducking the law!

Ducking the law!

I had a chance to work with my good friend Lucas Culshaw who you might be a fan of because of his brutal work on the annual Hollywood Horror Nights at Universal Studios. Or you might like his movies Wasteland or 408. In any case we have a new webseries out! Roomies is the collection of misadventures of John (John Livesay)and Zach (Zachary Block) renting together.  Just watch this….

Don’t forget to subscribe to Workshed Pictures TV for all the updates and episodes!

Still haven’t had enough? How about a commercial?

So throw your comments up, “like” the Facebook page and guess what kind of mishaps this duo will find themselves in next?

Rest in Peace Ken Garcia

Yesterday the world lost a wonderful man by the name of Ken Garcia. You may recognize him from any number of his TV or movie appearances, you might know him from his Krav Maga classes, or maybe you have taken a few acting classes from his studio. I had the distinct pleasure of working with him on a number of projects and his work always impressed me. The first time I met him was in 2007 on the Wasteland production location. We rode in the bed of a truck doing 60 through the desert terrain then joked for a while about how close each bump got us more and more nervous about the lack of seat belts in truck beds. His great sense of humor and punctuality made sure that we had plenty more opportunities to catch up for every meeting, table-read, audition, or shoot day that I saw him at because we were usually the only ones there on time. I scored 2 movies that he was in and his performances never ceased to amaze and inspire me. I read with him at the Urgency audition that I felt he crushed and was then disappointed when the studio cast the part themselves. I listened every time his lines came up at a table read to hear how the lines carried weight with only the sound of his voice. He always offered to buy me a drink whenever we were at any outing. The last time I saw him was at the Wasteland DVD signing where we spent most of our time joking and laughing with each other.  Well in case you’re listening KG:

Yup, that’s us in the background.

This is the only pic I could find of us together. Oddly enough I think this was the last time I saw you. As punctual people we spent a lot of time chilling before everyone else got there. It was great to know you as an inspiration, teacher, peer, and most importantly as a friend. You never let anything stand in your way and accomplished more than most people ever will. Your talent, skill, ambition, determination, and hunger for life was something we could all learn from. I already miss you and can’t wait to hang and chat it up again… while we wait for everyone else. All my condolences to everyone else whose lives you touched. I know they all miss you as much as I do.

I scored this for your scene in Wasteland and I think it is a beautiful song for a great performance. Have a listen and we all miss you.

Set in the not too distant future, “WASTELAND” is a non-stop sci-fi adventure about a man who has lost everything.

“Black Sunday” has arrived. The chemicals we’ve pumped into our environment has cause our ecosystem to fail and collapse. The land is now barren, livestock brought to near extinction and the population has fallen to a hundred million.

A group of Religious zealots, led by the enigmatic Caine (Derrel Maury) invade the home of Keo Tanaka ( Garret T. Sato) destroying his peaceful life. Tanaka endures seventeen years of cannibal infested towns, teeming with mutants, scavengers and other horrors that lie beneath the sandy Wasteland. Now the time has come to exact revenge.
